The response is well developed and the topic is clearly addressed. The response thoroughly expands upon the topic to provide the reader with additional information.

Understanding and Detail
- response demonstrates understanding of the topic and includes details to provoke further consideration.

The response shows limited understanding of the topic and provides few details provoking a limited amount of consideration.

The response shows some understanding of the topic and provides some details provoking some amount of consideration.

The response shows fair understanding of the topic and provides details provoking a fair amount of consideration.

The response shows considerable understanding of the topic and provides sufficient details provoking thoughtful consideration.

Connections to Self, Text, World
- response demonstrates made by the author between the topic, themselves, the novel and society/the world.

The response demonstrates limited connection between the topic and the author, the novel, or the world/society.

The response demonstrates some connection between the topic and the author, the novel, or the world/society.

Each blog will be evaluated using the above rubric and given a mark out of 10. Your mark for the comment portion of your blog will be the average of the mark you received for the three comments. Thanks!
